1. How much does a day’s private guiding cost?

Our usual daily rate is £150 for up to 4 persons and £30 per person for groups of 5 or more. Open Courses and certain specialist courses are priced per person and the price is marked on the page.

2. What’s included in the price?

The price covers full instruction by a highly qualified professional mountaineering instructor. Any technical equipment such as ropes, helmets, harnesses are also included.

3. Do I need to hire anything else?

We will require you to have adequate personal protective clothing for activities (such as warm clothes, water proofs etc). We can arrange for hire of these and have some supplies ourselves which we don’t charge you for.

4. Do I need insurance?

We have professional indemnity insurance and would recommend as with any other sporting activity/ travel that you take out your own personal accident insurance. See our links page for more details.

5. Are activities safe?

Mountaineering and adventure activities have a certain element of risk associated with them. We are there to manage these risks but cannot eliminate them completely. All of our decision making is in the best interests of our clients and our competence is reflected in our high professional qualifications and many years of delivering these activities at a safe level.

6. How do I book?

We need you to contact us by email, telephone or letter stating the course or activity you are interested in. We will then reply confirming which dates we have available and send you a booking form. To confirm the dates you have chosen you will need to return the booking form and a 40% deposit to secure the booking.

7. Can you recommend places to stay in Snowdonia?

We have a list of places previous clients have stayed in, and we ask all our clients whether or not they would recommend their accommodation for future clients. Some of the most popular choices are included on our links page.

8. How long are the days?

Our usual routine for a day’s activity is to meet around 9am in a cafe and go through the plan for the day. We aim to finish around 5pm

Providing each child is accompanied by their parent or legal guardian then we can run Private Bookings for families.

10. I’m not sure if its for me as I am a bit nervous about heights?

Everybody has a natural fear of heights. Some people just have different boundaries from others. We are completely sympathetic with your anxieties and will never force you to do anything you’re not happy with.
