We run many refresher courses for people who are preparing for their Mountain Leader (S) Assessment. You may wish to consolidate skills learnt during training, focus on weak areas, or it may simply have been a long gap since you completed your training, and now you are planning to go for assessment.

Mountain Leader Refresher Weekend
This 2 day course covers the elements which most people struggle with on assessment, ie micro/ night navigation and ropework. The course includes 2 full days out in the hills, with opportunities to discuss other elements of the award as we go along. Includes night navigation session.

Ropework for Mountain Leaders
For many hill walkers doing the Mountain Leader Award, the ropework element proves to be a bit of a headache. This 1 day refresher course will help untangle the problems of using a rope on steep ground. IN addition this course is ideal for those who have passed some time ago and would like a refresher.

Reassessments
If you need to attend a reassessment then we can also provide this for you, regardless of who your original assessor was. These will run throughout the year, but please make sure you complete your action plan which was drawn up by your original assessor before coming for reassessment.
