Bryn Aug 2006 Summer rock climbing is still going strong but been feeling a bit chilly and damp at times. This has done nothing to stop the enthusiasm and joy of climbing thought! The dates are now online for our winter skills courses and as ever early booking is advisable. We have several weekend courses in Snowdonia and so far 1 week long course in Scotland. Details will be available on our new Navigation and Scrambling workshops and we are looking at November for these. Keep well and look forward to seeing you again soon. July 2006 Well the heat wave is here! It’s great climbing weather but actually been too hot some days so extra rations on water have been taken out. We’ve had lots of rock climbing days going on and also some scrambling and mountain days too. This has been our busiest month ever with only 1 day off - so we went climbing. Enjoy the sun and I’m looking at getting the Autumn dates for navigation and scrambling courses and also some dates for the winter skills courses. Keep in touch. April 2006 After a long winter season including some skiing in Snowdonia we finally said goodbye to the snow and hello to the spring. Our big achiever for this month was Cameron from Essex who battled high places and completed a huge 80ft abseil and gorge scramble, so well done to you and the family. Well done to the Salter family who also completed the gorge and abseil challenge as well as some adventure camping. We’ve just got back form our Sardinia climbing course where we had a great trip and both clients achieved outstanding climbing performances and much neater climbing style and a tan - we’re re doing the Sardinia page at the mo so keep looking for the September trip. Things are really getting busy with business and the summer season is off to a flying start with rock climbing, mountain walking and navigation courses on the go. I hope you all have some great adventures over the summer period. Bryn March 2006 Winter is still here and strong! I was hoping to start some outdoor rock climbing but have got the skis out again and had some great days in the snow. The weather has been kind to us with mostly dry and still conditions. Come next month though I think we can expect warmer conditions for our climbing and hill walking courses, ready for this year’s busy season There are plans being submitted for a huge Snowdome in Llanberis with an ice climbing wall and a mountain bike trail, so I hope to see this get the go ahead then we will be able to offer more choices to you when you visit. That’s all for now folks - time to get in one last ski! Bryn February 2006 Well after several trips to Scotland I’m now looking forward to some sunshine and sport climbing on our upcoming Sardinia climbing course. This course is great if you’re new to climbing or would like to have a week’s technique coaching and instruction to allow yourself to improve. We have run some Snowdonia Winter Skills weekends which proved to be very popular for people wanting to try the winter stuff but without the suffering that Scotland throws at you! Well done to you guys. The spring will see the start of the climbing season and as always finding your way around in the mountains is a skill you may want to consider, so we have plenty of climbing and navigation courses running in the next few months to get you set up for summer. The new look 2006 website has taken a bit longer than planned but I’m happy with the result.
