Performance Coaching Weekend
Previous experience: New to climbing
Heard of Egyptian’s, flagging, footwork and core strength but not sure how to use them? The Performance Coaching Weekend is designed specifically for beginners and new climbers to teach the subtleties of technique to help improve your balance, coordination and flow over the rock.
We use bouldering and top roping sessions along with video analysis so you can concentrate on developing your rock ballet skills in safety.
Day 1 Warmup, with a focus on developing climbing-specific flexibility. Individual assessments of technique to identify your strengths and weaknesses using video analysis. Focus on foot work and body position through top rope climbing. Bouldering session focusing on body positioning and climbing strength / exercises.
Day 2 Warmup, with a focus on avoiding injury, bouldering session with a focus on handwork and upper body positioning. Working on dynamic moves and body position. Putting it all together - repeating your first climb to see if you’ve improved.
